It all started in 2001 when I got the license for motorbike. All from the beginning I used my bike alot and took it for longer rides then most of my friends. The first warm weekend (+8C at start and +3C at end of journey) I had my Transalp I rode a return trip to Ronneby over a weekend, that's around 1100km. Then it all just rolled on and some ideas popped up to make longer trips on the bike.
During the fall of 2003 my girlfriend first heard about Ride For Sight and asked me if a trip across Canada would be out of the question? "Of Course not!" I answered and the planning started. In summer 2004 we took the bike over to UK and toured around for 3 weeks, see the travel diaries, as a preparation for the big tour. After that she felt that the trip across Canada might be a bit dull compared to UK and she said OK to join me for the last few weeks.
So in May 2006 I shipped the bike to Toronto, ON and the adventure began. Now I hear alot of voices saying that Canada can't be a adventure... Yeah, right! Read my diary and you might get some new ideas. :)
The years have rolled by and during 2010 we managed to get a trip through Europe, didn't do any charity work during that trip and realize that I really need to get something done. As you all can see in 2011 I started to do some LD riding which has include 2 IBA rides and one rally. This is something that I hope I can merge with the charity as there is a few ideas brewing in my brain at the moment, more about this in next year.
So welcome to our site and hope you will enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed the trips.
